What if...
...teachers connected with other teachers and classrooms in other states, countries, continents?
....parents Googled their child's teacher and found amazing student experiences and classroom resources in the search results?
....schools published special events, contests, sports scores, artwork to the public via social media?
....classrooms posted their success stories or "what we learned today" to a hashtag every day?
What would happen?

Social Media in EDU - Learning Cohort
If you are a teacher using technology (and most likely, you are!), it’s time to bring the positive power of social media into your professional life. In this cohort you will develop an engaging Personal Learning Network to collaborate with other teachers, market your learning space to the community, and change the world #OneTweetAtaTime! You’ll leave with experience in a variety of social media platforms, a new Personal Learning Network (PLN), as well as a plan to incorporate your choice of social media into your classroom to naturally promote digital citizenship in your instruction throughout the year.
The objectives for each course are planned below and will be updated throughout the school year.
Join my Remind group https://www.remind.com/join/socialsav. When my blog is updated, you’ll receive a text message to let you know that a new social media challenge awaits! Another reminder will be sent the following week to help keep your social media challenges in mind and in action. My plan is to provide a challenge every two weeks, so be sure to join the REMIND group to stay in the loop.
